Born in Bregenz, Austria in 1970, Jürgen was passionate about sports like skiing and waterskiing as a kid. He started skydiving at the age of 19 and became an instructor and tandem-master at 22. He competed at many national and international skydiving competitions. His sport allowed him to travel around the world. At age 26 he moved to Australia to work as a skydiving instructor. It is there where he also started and successfully ran a few different companies. Meanwhile, he pursued his dream of becoming a basejumper, a sport which was in its infancy at the time. This sport also allowed him to compete and travel around the world. He also realised that basejumping, on may levels, is actually quite similar to running a business. Amongst many other traits both require vision, commitment and courage as well as acting despite of fear.

After living in Melbourne, Australia for twenty years he decided to move back to Europe to be closer to his family. Jurgen is still passionate about skydiving and basejumping and also spends a lot of time in the air paragliding. He now aims to inspire others to follow their dreams and live up to their full potential.

“The only thing that is holding you back in life is fear, learn to act despite of fear and you are unstoppable.” Jurgen Mennel
